Fallout meets weird Soviet sci-fi in the elevation-history RPG Encased

We got our first off look at Incased in 2019, describing it as a Fallout 2-inspired game that was "formation busy personify the kind of freeform RPG we can get lost in." Plant in an AL-chronicle 1976, the whole thing takes place inner a giant, cryptical dome discovered in the desert that's packed with amazing, forward-looking engineering that could carry manhood hundreds of age into the future, in an present.

There's exclusive one problem: Rather alike a sci-fi Hotel California, aliveness creatures who enter the dome can ne'er, ever so depart. Inanimate objects bottom, which means all that sweet technology is accessible, merely only if you tooshie come up mass willing to communicative up for the job... forever. And then we have the new "recruitment" trailer discovered at the Robert Koch Media livestream now, revealing a little bit active what life low the dome is in truth same.

Players will begin the game in one of five "disciplines"—skill, engineering, security, management, operating room convict—which will impress starting stats and specialization options, and also ingest an impact on dialog options that are acquirable throughout the pun. Shortly after entering the domed stadium, however, things go even more sideway than they at first appear, devolving into "a state challenge of quite epic poem proportions."

The Fallout styling is obvious, but Encased, which began life A a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, as wel cites the Soviet sci-fi novel Wayside Picnic—one of the foundational pillars of the great Stalker shooters—as another breathing in. In case there's any doubt, that's the sort of crossing that gets me selfsame worked up.

Encased is currently available in Rude Access on Steam clean, and is expected to go into stuffed release this fall on Steam, Epic, and GOG.
